Shadows II

After much deliberation I decided to use the blue version but with a slight alteration to the colour of the girl's face. Thank you for all the input! it was very helpful.. :)

I wasn't completely happy with the colours I used in "Shadows" so I have been playing around in photoshop.. please let me know your thoughts.. :)

I love what you have done with the hues in the second version. She actually stands out more where in the first version my eyes went straight to the flowers. I am now pulled into the center of the piece and feel enveloped. Lovely work.

Beautiful artwork, I think both are fabulous and it depends what you would like to portray with the story. The first is cool shadows and underplays the girl and the second is much warmer in hue and she is more visible. Not a lot of help really:0) Gorgeous drawings, :0) x

My favourite is the blue because I love that deep ultramarine :) Your art is so lovely it would look amazing in any colour actually and that includes black and white!xx

The colors of the illustration below are well chosen, they suggest a mood of moonlight. I mean we get the impression that this scene is a night of moonlight is not it?And it has more contrast, but this one is also very nice but I really like the one below.(sorry for my english)

Personally I like the original. I like that she doesn't stand out as much and that your eye 'finds' her eventually. The colours also seem more natural whereas the altered one feels less vibrant. my 2 cents!

I've marked the final version a Favo(u)rite at your Etsy shop, but I must say the first is so mysterious... more ambiguous. Like lil kim, I like the gradual "find" of the figure.
