This is absolutely amazing! Her (his?) expression, the dragon, the flames, the details...! And I like it black and white!

Wow Kathy! You are amazing! It is so hard to render fire... but you did it and you did it perfectly! I love the glow from the flames. That dragon is splendid! I like the angle you chose. Great character design! Another perfect illustration for the theme this week. You are on fire! :o)

Oh Kathy,
This is superb! I love the expression of both of them. And the light on his face is so soft and alive. It is such a talent to express so much with pencil and paper, no color!

Good God, Kathy! Is there anything you can't draw?? This is without a doubt my new favorite of yours! Such a contrast between the burning and the tender soft expression...

Your work is beautiful! I love it! This piece reminds me of the work of Adrienne Ségur, who illustrated a number of children's books in the early 1960s.

Lovely illustration! This was one, though, that I really wish were in color. I can just imagine the colors! But it's so beautiful--the gentleness and wonder on the child's face, and the little dragon born in fire.

Hah, I came the other day and thought I commented, well oh dear this is .... like.... err made me speechless. Whcih is unusual. I think its the delicacy, the glow of the light in the texture that does it - apart form everything elze that is. Softness and dreams eh? What else do we want in life? Hmm a baby dragon err dwagon :)
