When I saw the word "Early" for this weeks illustration Friday I kept thinking of this little drawing so here he is once again!
In Britain there is an old wives tale that says that the May dew has magical properties and that any one that washes their face in it will have a beautiful complexion all year round. So early in the morning on the 1st of May young girls would rush out into their gardens to collect the morning Dew. I think that they would have found this little fellow very helpful...

so peaceful!
That is such a cool story Kathy. And such a delightfully illustrated little dew collector. Love all the different textures that you incorporated into this work. NICE!
Oh yes, this fellow is definitely one of my favorites, Kathy! Beautiful piece... :)
Very sweet pic and story. Where I live (Ohio) there is a little flower like this called a snowdrop, so-named because it is the first flower and pokes through the snow -- which is also very "early".
