Hi Kathy, this is sad but beautiful. I love pictures of birdcages but hate to see birds in them in real life! I think they're lovely objects in themselves, maybe I could get one and put a toy bird in it instead. ;)

We have a lots of birds in our garden and I'm happy that they are free. But again a great drawing so good how you put the expression on Alice's face.

Oh my! This is so touching. That bird's song is blossoming out into the air. You do such a marvelous job with the medium--even the background color--the patterns making circles around the girl's head reinforces the wonder and mood of it all somehow.
