illustration friday - wrinkles

final version after much fretting and cropping...!!!

I cropped this drawing because I was not very happy with the original image, I loved the grandmothers face but I felt the girls face was not quite right, I think it works ok with just the childs hand... but I'm happiest with the cropped version of them both.

This image is so lovely! I love it. It makes wrinkles a position of honor and love! Great job!

Wonderful this is a true representation of what a nan has to give. It makes me feel warm inside when i remember my nan and i hope wrinkles look as good on me!!!!

wow...if i had a kitkat for every fret over a crop, to a final image...yikes! but clearly, kathy, your smart eye dictated it very well. the crop makes it that more intimate. and, i really like the girl's face. i think i see what you don't like, but i think that only HELPS make her younger, the less wiser of the 2. it's a lovely, lovely piece. :))

I actually like the cropped version better. It puts the focus on their eyes and brings an intimacy to the illustration. This is very effective! YOu are so talented!
